Awareness Programme On Cervical Cancer organized At Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital

  • KANISHK WON THE POSTER COMPETITION WHILE RITIKA NEGI EXCELLED IN SLOGAN COMPETITION
A programme was organized on Cervical Cancer Awareness at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. To mark the occasion of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month (January), Poster and Slogan Competitions were organized at the hospital. In the Poster Competition, Kanishk won while in the Slogan Competition Ritika Negi emerged as victorious. In both the competitions, students of Shri Guru Ram Rai University performed excellent.
The opening ceremony of the programme organized on the theme ‘Awareness on Cervical Cancer’ was performed by Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. Ashok Nayak. While addressing the gathering over the occasion, he said that according to World Health Organization, Cervical Cancer is a deadly disease and is the fourth most dangerous Cancers found in women. Chief Organizer of the programme, Cervical Cancer specialist, Dr. Yamini Kansal said that the number of female deaths due to cervical cancer is surprising. Awareness at timely treatment are helpful in reducing the risk factor of this disease. Over this occasion students of spead awareness on Cervical Cancer by means of Posters and Slogans.
Medical Superintendent, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital,  Dr. Gaurav Raturi, Dr. Anjali Chaudhary, Dr. Arti Sharma, Dr. Robina Makker and Dr. Megha Luthra palyed the roles of judges in the competitions. Significant roels were also played by Dr. Amit Maithreya, Manvender Rawat, Amit Sharma and Hari Shankar Gaur in making the programme a success.
